Body Fluids and Needlestick Injuries Guidance
The risk from exposure to body fluids is transfer of infection. The main risk is from exposure to blood but there is some risk from other body fluids such as urine, faeces, saliva, sputum, sweat, tears and vomit.
This guidance procedure is designed to assist staff in the work place.
